Training Benefits

Music education is rapidly disappearing from California elementary schools, as is the expertise to teach it. For this and many other reasons, MFM Training is a remarkable opportunity. It provides participants with the skills needed to keep music education alive in our schools and the hearts of children.

Utilizing MFM Training to become a Music for Minors Volunteer Educator is a highly beneficial and rewarding experience. You will share your love of music with young children, be they your own or others. You will sing, dance, listen to music, play musical games and rhythm instruments with children. You will be among a diverse community of volunteers who teach music in K-3 grade classrooms half an hour each week. Equally important, by becoming an MFM Volunteer Educator, you will gain access to an array of valuable resources. This includes the MFM Resource Rooms, as well as professional growth opportunities through ongoing educational workshops (at no cost), and professional mentoring from staff and veteran Volunteer Educators.

Students and teachers alike love their MFM Volunteer Educators. You will meet new people, develop new skills, and earn college credit while also expanding and sharing the music you love.

Take the MFM Training and become an MFM Volunteer Educator today!
