MUSIC FOR MINORS (MFM), a non-profit organization which provides music education programs for elementary schools from Burlingame and Pacifica to San Jose, is seeking volunteers! Our primary volunteer group consists of MFM trained music docents. Without these volunteers, many classrooms would be without regularly scheduled music programs.

If you would like to volunteer with MFM join us at an upcoming

Volunteer Information Meeting

Tuesday, May 27, 11:00 AM - Noon
Music For Minors, 883 N. Shoreline Blvd., Ste. C120, Mountain View

Thursday, May, 29, 7:00 - 8:00 PM
Community Activities Bldg., Room 1, Red Morton Park, 1400 Roosevelt Ave., Redwood City

You might want to download a Volunteer Application form and bring it with you. To find out more, give us a call or send us an email. Our contact info is listed below. We are looking forward to talking with you.

For our in-school docent program, we train adult volunteers in a 55-hour college accredited course that includes music theory, history, education, and classroom management techniques. These trained volunteers are then placed in elementary schools throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Once in the classroom, the trained volunteers teach a minimum of one half-hour per classroom per week. This comprehensive training is offered once a year in the fall.
