The Music For Minors Board of Directors is a select group of individuals who govern the overall objectives and vision of the organization. They meet monthly, on the third Wednesday. The following dedicated individuals serve on the 2006-07 board:

Sharon Barkoff (Secretary) of Los Altos Hills is currently a teacher
in the Los Altos School District. She has a BA in Anthropology and a Lifetime
Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University. Her passion for music
brought her into the Music For Minors family and led her down the yellow brick
road directing children's musicals and chorus'. Being true to her community
is a value she holds dear to her heart as she continues to volunteer at the
Ronald McDonald House and sings with a local choir called Hashrim. She joined
the Board in 2004.

Stephen D'Andrea has experience in for-profit businesses, non-profit educational
and performing arts organizations. He is a sales professional with experience in a variety
of international sales, marketing and business development roles. After graduating from
UC Berkeley, he was the Assistant Manager of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. While there
he managed ticket sales, concert production, donor lists and public relations. Later he
helped ComputerWare, the first Mac-only retail chain, grow international sales through
innovative sales and marketing approaches. He has sold professional translation services
to leading software companies in Silicon Valley. He is a Bay Area native and has performed
on cello with Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, Redwood Symphony and Master Sinfonia. His wife
and children play string instruments and piano, and attend operas, musicals, plays and
concerts. He speaks a bit of Italian and French, has traveled in Asia, Europe and Japan,
and enjoys bicycling, cooking, skiing and wine.

Gunilla Follet of Los Altos was educated at the Southern Methodist University
in Texas and is an event planner by occupation. In addition to MFM, she also
sits on the Boards of the Vintage Affaire and the YMCA. She was a founding member
of Music For Minors, serving as Board President and is a sustaining member of
Junior League of Palo Alto. She has also worked extensively with the Children's
Health Council, CHAC and the ALS Association and served as Executive Director
for the Millennium Event for Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

Grace Johnston of Los Altos has an AB in Psychology and a BS in Elementary
Education with a minor in Music from University of Missouri. As a founder of
MFM, she served as Executive Director for 4 years and in 1984 won the Community
Service Award of Los Altos/Mountain View for her work. She taught music in the
Mountain View School District for 14 years. She was also founder of People of
Note and served as its first president. Still actively involved, Grace docents
at her grandchildren's school.

Janet Kolstad (President) of Los Altos holds a BS in Computer Science with minors
in Mathematics and Music from the University of Pittsburgh. Janet spent over
12 years in Engineering and Management, before moving into Marketing, all at
high-tech companies. Music has always been a part of Janet's life from piano
lessons at age 5 to flute, choir and orchestral productions. As a new docent,
Janet teaches first-grade music at Oak School in Los Altos. Janet has two children,
ages 8 and 5. She joined the Board in February 2003.

Rachel Wagner (Treasurer) of Los Altos has a BA in Mathematics from
Mt. Holyoke College. During its first years, she served on the Board and was
an active docent for 6 years. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant
for the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce and most recently for the Perham Foundation
- Electronics Museum. Currently Treasurer, she joined the Board in May 2002.

Dennis Ronberg of Menlo Park has an MBA from Pacific Lutheran
University. He has been the co-owner of Linden Tree Children's Records
and Books since 1982 and is active in the Los Altos Village Association.
He is past Treasurer of the Association for Booksellers for Children (ABC)
-a national organization. He is a sponsor of and on the planning committee
for the annual Los Altos Art & Wine Festival. He chairs the Children's
Stage for the Festival. Dennis has been on the Board since May 2002.
